What is a "mute wood"?

Mutewood is the brainchild of "Deflun," a long-time friend of mine. We met well over a decade ago and bonded over a love of art, for which we expressed through an online creative building game (think Minecraft but even older). I'm not so much of an artist myself, but Deflun created and built complex, abstract art that was often dark (color-wise) and greatly intriguing.

With his permission, I adopted "Mutewood" as the name of a self-hosted server for which I hosted files and game servers on. I've moved on from the original hardware that hosted "Mutewood," but I've kept the name as it's unique and something easy to remember.

These days, I've had no hand in any of Deflun's art related to what he refers as "Mutewood." Should you encounter any of his art in the wild, all credit goes to him. I also had no hand in his once very popular MS Paint Adventure. I did, however, collaborate with him on a number of musical compositions released under this name.

Where is his art?

That's a good question. I've long since lost all of the paintings, photos, and screenshots of art that Deflun has sent me. If I ever find any, I will post them here or link to them.
